Summary of the 6/2007 newsletter

The evolutionen newsletter is only available in German. You will find here brief summaries of the current contents. Please consult the newsletter archive for older summaries.

The final 2007 newsletter does not contain a special interview, but rather a review of the interviews of the year which is drawing to a close. Here you will again find brief summaries, photographs and some essentials.

In addition, “the New Aspects” at evolutionen are introduced. “The New Aspects” stand for three independent areas, all of which are dedicated to the subject of “excellence”. These include a leadership process for managers, a scientific discourse for accountable managers and a certification for coaches.

This year’s interviews and “the New Aspects” have one factor in common: what is at stake is development, evolution. To quote Mahatma Gandhi: “Let us be the change which we wish to see in the world.“ It is on this note that we shall take our leave.

Best regards,

Your
Brigitte Witzer

  • The 2007 interviews: a wrap-up
Three women, two men and changes as a leitmotiv – full translation.

  • The state of play at evolutionen: “The New Aspects”
The leadership process, the discourse and the certification as essentials.

  1. The 2007 newsletters focus on the central “management of change“ theme. Our question was how people in our vicinity cope with changes. Where are we involved with an, if anything, peaceful flux, where are there harder breaches and interesting options? This question has afforded us exciting interviews on a wide range of topics: from football (with Thomas Tress) to a sociologist (Dirk Baecker), from the founder of an on-line platform (Britta Kroker) and the constellation manager for organization (Margret Barth) to the newest member of the evolutionen team (Iris Seuthe). As coaches we know that it is calm and collected reviews in particular which render the quality of a bygone period of time truly tangible. Therefore, please join us in taking a step back into the “old” year once again!

The 2007 interviews commenced with Thomas Tress who, as a partner in an auditing firm, surprisingly joined Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund. A, for him surprising move, both personally and professionally, which, while entailing major changes, also involved a degree of inherent inevitability (as we discover). As a consultant he came within the operational responsibility of the Managing Director and was thus under the obligation to implement his concepts - and at the same time a true non-footballer became a convert to football... Who can resist such a club, which as perhaps no other lives from its supporters and represents an entire region?
    >>To the Newsletter 1/2007

Britta Kroker trod a very different, but particularly radical path. Until the autumn of 2006 she played a key role in fashioning the programme for Campus, a successful specialist publisher in Germany. She then turned self-employed and the book producer became a book dealer. If you go to managementbuch.de you will meet Ms. Kroker. The platform’s book reviews are used by major feuilletons and the platform is undergoing noticeable development – and, if anything, the energy involved is developing very well: the vitality of this energetic entrepreneur is very much in evidence.
    >>To the Newsletter 2/2007

It was in peace and quiet and with a great deal of energy that Margret Barth accompanied a special form of change for evolutionen: We jointly established the CM process and implemented it for the first time on 15 June 2007. For me a wonderful achievement and a very moving day. Once again, thank you to everyone who was involved! And special thanks to Margret who, with a great deal of circumspection and increasing clarity and empathy, guided us through the constellations. The next two dates in 2008 have been set, in other words, the show goes on!
    >>To the Newsletter 3/2007

With Dirk Baecker we discussed companies capable of evolution, the appetite for change of managers and his own approach towards handling changes (it should be noted here that he does not like changes at all). For him, organizations are systems under tension. Tension is, for example, generated by every set goal and the thus accepted discrepancy between the target and the actual situation. In this interview he focused on the following consideration: How can I benefit from that without someone always suffering and someone else profiting? More in the interview.
    >>To the Newsletter 4/2007

In the fifth and thus penultimate newsletter we introduced Iris Seuthe who, on the one hand, has a great deal of experience of collaborating with managers and, on the other, draws her strength not from the joint field, but from her fresh, emotion-oriented and direct way of approaching people. She has been employed at evolutionen since the summer and complements the team in her very personal manner. More information on Ms. Seuthe is contained in the interview and the profile page.

  2. In addition to individual and team coaching sessions three new offers will be available next year. An initial orientation:

    • The leadership process
Supports managers who have sound company management knowledge and wish to develop more forcefully in the direction of leadership and responsibility.

    • The discourse
Appeals to everyone who already bears such responsibility and wishes to discover and discuss new impulses through current developments in the sciences.

    • The certification
Is aimed at experienced business coaches who wish to secure a reflection and development opportunity for themselves and, in addition, are curious about the post heroic concept and evolutionen.
